The kinsfolk of Sir Walter Scott are becoming "wede away." Mrs. Craw has died at Jedburgh. She was Ann Scott Bell, her mother being a daughter of a brother of Sir Walter's father — the Mr. Thomas Scott of Monklaw, near Jedburgh, who died in 1822, of whom Lockhart gives some curious notices in the "Life." Border Counties' Magazine p. 36.7
