     Loyall Farragut Sewall. Investment banker. He was born on 13 September 1894 in Bath, Maine.2,3,4 He was the son of Harold Marsh Sewall and Camilla Loyall Ashe.5 Loyall Farragut Sewall graduated from Bowdoin. He entered military service and served in France with the American Ambulance Corps in World War I before America entered into the conflict. Later he was a Tank Corps captain in France and was wounded. During World War II Mr. Sewall was a major in the Military Police and that organization's Provost Marshal in Northern England. Later in the war he was attached to the staff of Gen. George S. Patton Jr. on the Continent.
Called into active serv as 1st Lt Inf Aug. 15/17 fr CL. 1st Lt Tank C Mar. 30/18; Capt Tank C Feb. 18/19. Org: 18 Inf; Army Tank Sch; 326 Tank C; 344 Bn Tank C to disch. Eng: St Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne. Wounded in action: Oct. 4/18. Overseas: Sept. 8/17 to Mar. 17/19. Hon disch for conv of Govt: Apr. 14, 1919. in France.6,3 He married Jane Yates Smith, daughter of Edward Calhoun Smith, on 18 August 1933 in Round Hill Community Church, Greenwich, Connecticut.7 In October 1934 Loyall Farragut Sewall was living at 625 Fifth Avenue, New York.8 He died on 6 April 1958 at 812 Park Avenue, Bath, Maine, at the age of 63 after an illness of several months6 and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath, Maine.9

     Lydia Marsh Sewall was born on 19 April 1800. She was the daughter of Joseph Sewall and Lydia Marsh.1 Lydia Marsh Sewall married Dr. Ebenezer Wells, son of Ebenezer Wells and Hannah Morrill, on 19 October 1823 in Bath, Sagadahoc, Maine, the marriage being solemnised by the Rev. John W. Ellingwood.2 Lydia Marsh Sewall died on 17 November 1829 at the age of 29 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Freeport, Maine.3
