Towne on 5 October 1868.2 He enlisted, 8 August 1862 in Co. E. 9th. New Hampshire Volunteers and was mustered out 15 June 1865 having been wounded in his right wrist by a minie-ball, 26 May 1864. He attained the rank of sergeant.2 Albert Byron Stearns died in 1919.1
