He attended the First Baptist Church of Dayton and enjoyed working out, hunting, and cooking.
Scott had numerous friends and will be remembered for his ability to never give up. His motto, throughout life was, "Never quit, always keep trying and take one day at a time."
His father Joe Cone preceded him in death.
