     Hugh Francis Seymour Allen was born on 3 November 1912 in York, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was the son of Evelyn Prestwood Seymour Allen and Winifred Alice Berry.¹

     James Allen married firstly Hannah Dummer, daughter of Richard Dummer and Frances (Unknown) (widow Burr), on 18 August 1663 said to have m. Boston 18 August 1663 as his first wife James Allen, but this marriage does not appear in the published vital records, and the numbers in this supposed date are a transposition of the stated marriage date of James Allen to Elizabeth (Houchin) Endicott, 31 August 1668. Torrey lists all three marriages.^2,3,1,4 James Allen married secondly Elizabeth Houchin on 31 August 1668 at Boston.¹ James Allen married thirdly Sarah Hawkins on 11 September 1673 at Boston.^1,4

     Deacon James Allen was born on 6 February 1732 in Chilmark, Dukes County, Massachusetts.^1,3 He was the son of Sylvanus Allen and Jane Homes.^1,2 Deacon James Allen married Martha Athearn. Deacon James Allen died on 3 November 1815 in Chilmark, Dukes County, Massachusetts, at the age of 83³ and is buried in Abel Hill Cemetery, Chilmark, Dukes County, Massachusetts.⁴

     Rev. James Allen is also recorded as Alling. He was born on 24 April 1657 in New Haven, Connecticut.¹ He married Elizabeth Cotton, daughter of Rev. John Cotton and Joanna Rossiter, on 2 June 1690. (recorded as Mr. James Allen to Mistress Elizabeth Cotton.)^2,3,4 Rev. James Allen died on 8 March 1696 in Salisbury, Massachusetts, at the age of 38^2,5 and is buried in Salisbury Colonial Burying Ground, Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.⁶

     Jane Allen was baptised on 13 January 1587/88 at Goldington, Bedfordshire.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Allen and Mary Fairclough.² Jane Allen married Rev. Peter Bulkeley, son of Rev. Edward Bulkeley D.D. and Olive Irby, on 12 April 1613 in Goldington, Bedfordshire, They had nine children but only six survived childhood.² Jane Allen died in 1626. She was buried on 8 December 1626 in Odell, Bedfordshire.¹

     Reginald Seymour Allen was born on 30 January 1879 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire.¹ He was the son of Col. Francis Seymour Allen and Florence Emma Mary Symonds.¹ Reginald Seymour Allen married Maria Florence Eileen Croker-Walsh on 26 September 1917 in Kensington, London.¹ Reginald Seymour Allen died on 14 May 1945 in Westminster, London, at the age of 66.¹

     Rev. Stephen Allen was born on 20 March 1810 in Industry, Franklin County, Maine.^2,3 He was the son of William Allen and Hannah Titcomb.¹ Rev. Stephen Allen married Rachel Sturdivant on 9 August 1839 in Cumberland, Maine.^1,4 Rev. Stephen Allen died on 3 July 1888 in Winthrop Center, Kennebec County, Maine, at the age of 78⁵ and is buried in Foreside Cemetery, Cumberland, Cumberland County, Maine.⁶

     Capt. Truman Allen was born on 19 June 1783 in Chilmark, Massachusetts.^1,2,3 He was the son of William Allen and Love Coffin.¹ Capt. Truman Allen married Hannah Sewall, daughter of Henry Sewall and Sarah Henry, on 11 September 1816 in Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine, the marriage being solemnised by the Rev. John W. Ellingwood.^4,5 Capt. Truman Allen died on 7 July 1818 at the age of 35 at sea when captain of the brig Hiram.² He was buried in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, his death being recorded on his wife's gravestone in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath, Maine.²

     Of Norridgewock, Maine.² William Allen was born on 16 April 1780 in Chilmark, Dukes County, Massachusetts.^2,3 He was the son of William Allen and Love Coffin.¹ William Allen married Hannah Titcomb, daughter of Stephen Titcomb and Elizabeth Henry, on 13 September 1807.^1,4 William Allen died on 1 July 1873 in Maine at the age of 93³ and is buried in Old Oak Cemetery, Norridgewock, Somerset County, Maine.⁵
