Dorothy was a flight attendant for Northwest Orient Airlines, one of the first flight attendants not required to have a nursing degree. She had a long history of hospital volunteer service at Dakota Clinic. She showed her miniature Schnauzer across the country and won best in show in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her greatest love was music, particularly playing her piano. She performed annually in a piano quartet of the F-M Music Club for 30 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Dolly (Dennis) Fisher, Fargo; her sister, Caroline Dady, Fargo; and a brother, Fred (Earlyne) Hector, Fargo. She had four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Smith and Peggy Harrington; and nephews, Clay and Martin Hector.3

He becam pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church at Castleton, Rensselaer County, New York (1861-69). He then lived in New Haven and in 1874 he settled in the ministry at White Plains, New York.1 He married Agnes Woolsey, daughter of Theodore Dwight Woolsey and Elizabeth Martha Salisbury, on 14 May 1863 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut.1 Rev. Edgar Laing Heermance died on 29 April 1888 in White Plains, Westchester County, New York, at the age of 54. He shot himself in the pulpit of the Presbyterian church on Broadway in the village of White Plains at 3.30p.m. on Sunday.3,4,5,6
