She is survived by her husband, Morris Deane Johnson of Austin. They were married June 9, 1956, in Dallas, and last June celebrated their 39th anniversary together. They lived in Houston several years during the late 1950's but moved back to Austin to stay in 1959.
Morris and Eileen Johnson raised four children together. One son, James Andrew Johnson, died in 1987.
Eileen is survived by a daughter, Janet Johnson Baker and her husband, Marty; and two sons, Douglas Scott Johnson and his wife Jessie, and Phillip Deane Johnson and his wife, Diane, all of Austin. Eileen was so very proud of her five grandchildren, Katie, Amber, and Brooks Baker, and Danielle and Samantha Johnson, all of Austin. She leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, including nephew, David Johnston and his wife, Jacqueline of Austin. She is survived by two sisters, Sarah Brockette and her husband, Marion of Dallas, and Dr. Julia Marie Johnston of Bridgeport, Connecticut; and by one brother, Charles Johnston and his wife, Patsy of Longview.3
