     Mary Leete was born on 11 January 1671/72 in Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Leete and Mary Fenn.³ Mary Leete married Judge James Hooker, son of Rev. Samuel Hooker and Mary Willett, on 1 August 1691 in Guilford, Connecticut.^1,4 Mary Leete died on 5 October 1752 in Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut, at the age of 80^1,2 and is buried in Alder Brook Cemetery, Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut.⁵

     Peregrine Leete was the son of Governor William Leete and Anne Payne.¹
