     Daniel Melyen was baptised on 7 August 1677.¹ He was the son of Jacob Melyen and Hannah Hubbard.¹

     He was a leather dresser.³ Jacob Melyen was baptised on 17 April 1640 at the Nieuwe Kerk, Amsterdam.⁴ He was the son of Cornelis Melyen and Janneken Adriaens.^5,4 Jacob Melyen married Hannah Hubbard in 1662.^5,4 Jacob Melyen died on 13 December 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 66.⁴

     Samuel Melyen was baptised on 7 August 1677.¹ He was the son of Jacob Melyen and Hannah Hubbard.¹ Samuel Melyen graduated in 1696 from Harvard.¹

     Dr. Albert Carl Menger married Caroline Heilemann.¹

     Grace Rose Menger was born on 12 October 1915 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. Albert Carl Menger and Caroline Heilemann.¹ Grace Rose Menger married Dr. Frederick Sewall Schofield, son of Everett Anderson Schofield and Martha Titcomb Sewall, in 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.² Grace Rose Menger died on 29 August 1991 in West Chester, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at the age of 75¹ and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.¹

     Daughter of John Menteith, of Kerse was the daughter of John Menteith of Kerse.¹ Daughter of John Menteith, of Kerse married Sir John Livingston, Lord of Callendar, son of Sir William de Livingston, and Christian de Callendar.¹

     Eva Menteith was the daughter of Gilchrist Earl of Menteith.¹ Eva Menteith married Alwyn 2nd Earl of Lennox, Lennox, son of Alwyn 1st Earl of Lennox,, there were nine sons of the marriage.

     Joanna Menteith married William Sutherland.¹ Joanna Menteith was born circa 1310.¹ She died after 1367.¹

     Annie Laurie Mercer was born circa 1856 in Barrie, Ontario.² She was the daughter of Lawrence William Mercer and Mary Catherine Powell.¹ Annie Laurie Mercer married George Willets Lount, son of George Lount and Margaret (Unknown), on 6 October 1880 in Barrie, Ontario.² Annie Laurie Mercer died in March 1890.¹

     Elizabeth Bleecker Mercer was the daughter of Lawrence William Mercer and Mary Catherine Powell.¹

     Gladys Inez Mercer was born on 25 August 1892.¹ She was the daughter of Lawrence John Grant Mercer and Inez Knowles.¹

     Lawrence John Grant Mercer is also recorded as Laurence Grant Mercer in the registration of his marriage to Nora Farmer. He. Of New York.¹ He was born in 1857.¹ He was the son of Lawrence William Mercer and Mary Catherine Powell.¹ Lawrence John Grant Mercer married firstly Nora Isabel Farmer, daughter of Arthur Farmer, on 31 March 1883 at Niagara Falls, Ontario, there was one child who died in infancy.^1,2 Lawrence John Grant Mercer married secondly Inez Knowles.¹

     Lawrence William Mercer married Mary Catherine Powell, daughter of Dr. Grant Powell J.P. and Elizabeth Staats Bleecker.¹ Lawrence William Mercer was born circa 1822 in Scotland.^2,3 He married Anne Kingsmill on 16 September 1845 in St. Mark's Church, Niagara, Ontario.⁴ In 1851 he was a deputy sheriff at Niagara, Ontario.³ Lawrence William Mercer died on 4 November 1860 in Québec "aged 38." In the same record of his death he is described as "of Gaspi [Gaspe] Basin"² and is buried on 6 November 1860 in Québec.²

     Linn Merck was the daughter of George W. Merck. Linn Merck married George W. Perkins, son of George W. Perkins, in December 1921.

     William de Mere married Cecilia de Puleston, daughter of Thomas de Puleston dominus de Flotesbroke.¹ William de Mere (fl. 1408.)¹

     Alice Louisa Meredith was the daughter of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹ Alice Louisa Meredith married Archibald Duncan McLean, son of Thomas A. McLean, on 22 September 1889.¹

     Allan Pickton Meredith was born on 31 October 1889.¹ He was the son of Edmund Arthur Jarvis Meredith and Isobel Osler.¹

     Clarence Graves Meredith was born on 8 January 1867.¹ He was the son of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹ Clarence Graves Meredith died in 1868.¹

     Colborne Powell Meredith was born on 13 September 1874.¹ He was the son of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹

     Edmund Allan Meredith was born in 1817.¹ He married Anne Frances Jarvis, daughter of William Botsford Jarvis and Mary Boyles Powell, in July 1851 in Toronto (the Rev. J.G.O. McKenzie officiated.)¹ Edmund Allan Meredith. Meredith is described in the marriage notice as Assistant (Provincial) Secretary East. He had qualified as a barrister. He died in 1898.²

     Edmund Arthur Jarvis Meredith was born in 1864.¹ He was the son of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹ Edmund Arthur Jarvis Meredith married Isobel Osler, daughter of Edward Osler and Marion Wyld, on 26 February 1889.¹ Edmund Arthur Jarvis Meredith died on 15 January 1895 of South Edmonton, N.W.T.¹

     Ethel Colborne Meredith was the daughter of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹ Ethel Colborne Meredith married Ernest Frederick Jarvis, son of Henry Fitzgerald Jarvis, on 14 September 1892.¹

     Harriet Maule Meredith was born on 3 September 1860.¹ She was the daughter of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹ Harriet Maule Meredith died in 1862.¹

     Mary Meredith married Thomas Bailey.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Meredith was the daughter of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹

     Morna Irvine Meredith was born on 13 July 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Edmund Allan Meredith and Anne Frances Jarvis.¹ Morna Irvine Meredith married John Reid on 31 October 1893.¹
