M, #18511, d. before 4 February 1233

Order to the sheriff of Staffordshire and Shropshire that, having accepted relief from William by rendering £100 to the king, he is to cause him to have full seisin of all land in his bailiwick of which Hugh was seised on the day he died and which falls to him by inheritance, and when he has taken that security, he is to signify this to the sheriffs of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.4 In 1224/25 (9 Hen. III) William was charged with £100 relief as a baron, for the land which his father held of the king in capite, was excused on showing that he held on that tenure only five knights' fees of the land late of Robert de Belesme; and his fine was accordingly reduced to £25 thereon.5 William Pantulf of Wem and Tyrley married Hawise fitz Warine, daughter of Fulk fitz Warine III and Maud le Vavasour, before 1226.6,7 William Pantulf of Wem and Tyrley died before 4 February 1233 for then did Fulk fitz Warin give the King 600 merks for custody of his lands and heirs.8
