     Sir Richard Saltonstall of Huntwicke was born in 1586. He married firstly Grace Kaye, daughter of Robert Kaye of Woodsome, before 1610 at England.2 Sir Richard Saltonstall of Huntwicke emigrated in 1630 to New England with Governor Winthrop in the Arbella, having been appointed First Assistant, 1629; commenced the Settlement of Watertown, 1630 but returned to England the following year. In 1644 he was appointed Ambassador to Holland. He died circa 1658 in England.3

Mr. Sample was born April 4, 1928, in Los Angeles, to George and Harriette (Sewell) Sample. He served his country in the United States Navy. On Jan. 19, 1963, he married the former Jolyne May Cornes in Phoenix, Ariz. Sewell was employed by Sunbeam Corporation for 28 years, retiring as President of International Sales and Vice President of National Sales. Most recently he served as President of Shepherd Products in St. Joseph.
Sewell was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He enjoyed genealogy research, history, reading, tending to his house plants, and watching sports.
Sewell is survived by his son, John (Laura) Sample of Holland, Mich; his daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Swanson of Seattle; his stepdaughter, Joanna (Tom) Lankford of Crown Pointe, Ind; and two step grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan Madeczyk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Jolyne, on Dec. 26, 2001.5
