     Susanna Sheaffe was born on 3 April 1754 in Boston.¹ She was the daughter of William Sheaffe. Susanna Sheaffe married Capt. Ponsonby Molesworth on 17 April 1769 The family account is, that, on the day of the landing of a Regiment of British troops in Boston, a halt was made in Queen (Court) Street, opposite Mr. Sheaffe's house; that Susanna, attracted by the music and the red-coats, accompanied by her younger sisters, went upon the balcony; that Molesworth soon saw her, was struck with her great beauty, gazed upon her intently, and at last, said to a brother officer, who, like himself, was leaning against a fence: " That girl seals my fate." The story further is, that an introduction, and visit after visit, followed, and that the maiden's heart was rapidly won. But then came sorrow, for Susanna was barely fifteen, and parental consent to her marriage was refused. Her governess, to whom she entrusted her grief, espoused her cause, and favored immediate union; and the result accordingly was, the flight of the three to Rhode Island, where the loving pair pronounced their nuptial vows.^2,1 Susanna Sheaffe died on 7 August 1834 in England at the age of 80.¹

     "The daughters of William Sheaffe of Boston were noted for beauty and fashion." William Sheaffe died in 1771.²

     Frederick A. Shearer married Susan E. Gordon, daughter of Henry Gordon and Elizabeth Smith.¹

     Virginia Shearer was born probably in January 1842 in Virginia though the 1900 Census gives January 1844 she was said to be 93 when she died.^2,3 She was the daughter of Frederick A. Shearer and Susan E. Gordon.¹ Virginia Shearer married Henry Sewall Bradley, son of Daniel Poor Bradley and Martha Read, on 1 July 1858 in Parks Bar, Yuba County, California.⁴ Virginia Shearer died on 23 December 1935 at the age of 93.⁴

     Marie J. Sheedy was born on 6 June 1885 in Colorado.² She married Robert Linlithgow Livingston, son of Robert Linlithgow Livingston and Mary Singleton McRa, on 15 February 1911 in Denver, Colorado.^1,3 Marie J. Sheedy died on 13 August 1958 at the age of 73² and is buried in Saint James Episcopal Churchyard, Hyde Park, Dutchess County, New York.⁴

     Lillian Inez Sheffield was born circa 1918.² She married Jennings Bryan Sewall, son of Jennings Bryan Sewall and Trudie Emily Powell, on 19 November 1959 in Montgomery, Texas.¹ Lillian Inez Sheffield and Jennings Bryan Sewall were divorced on 14 July 1969.²

     Mary Emily Sheffield was born on 16 August 1801.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Sheffield. Mary Emily Sheffield married Samuel Fortnom Cox on 28 May 1820 in St. Marylebone, London.² Mary Emily Sheffield died on 19 January 1872 at the age of 70.¹

     Elsie T. Sheldon was born circa 1891.¹ She married John Eastman Riley, son of Charles W. Riley and Isabella J. Sewall, on 29 December 1915 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.¹

     Flora Sheldon was born on 17 March 1872 in Ohio. She was the daughter of Robert Emmet Sheldon and Mary Elizabeth Butler.¹ Flora Sheldon married Samuel Prescott Bush, son of James Smith Bush and Harriet Eleanor Fay, on 20 June 1894 in Columbus, Ohio.¹ Flora Sheldon died on 4 September 1920 in Rhode Island at the age of 48.

     Robert Emmet Sheldon married Mary Elizabeth Butler, daughter of Courtland Philip Livingston Butler and Elizabeth Slade Pierce, on 24 February 1869 in Columbus, Ohio.¹

     Amanda Shell married Daniel Smith.¹

     Ralph Taft Shell was born circa 1909.¹ He married Rosilla Spaulding Dana, daughter of Ernest Mortimer Dana and Florence Louise Stoffer, on 23 January 1935 in Cook County, Illinois.¹

     Susan Shellman was born on 20 February 1808 in Georgia. She married Samuel Howard Fay, son of Samuel Prescott Phillips Fay and Harriet Howard, on 5 July 1825 in Chatham, Georgia.^1,2 Susan Shellman died on 12 January 1887 at the age of 78.

     Henry Wood Shelton was born on 19 March 1883 in Jersey City, New Jersey.¹ He married Dorothy Hale Camp, daughter of Walter Hale Camp and Eliza C. Merrell, on 11 May 1912 in Watertown, New York.² Henry Wood Shelton died on 14 November 1970 in San Diego, California, at the age of 87.¹

     Ann Shepard was born on 8 September 1663 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, (DNB gives a date of 13 September.)^2,3 She was the daughter of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Anna (or Hannah) Tyng.¹ Ann Shepard married firstly Daniel Quincy, son of Colonel Edmund Eliot Quincy and Joanna Hoar, on 9 November 1682 at Charlestown before John Hull.^1,4 Ann Shepard married secondly Rev. Moses Fiske, son of Rev. John Fiske and Ann Gipps, on 7 January 1700/1.^1,5 Ann Shepard died on 24 July 1708 in Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, at the age of 44^6,7 and is buried in Hancock Cemetery, Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.⁸

     Anna Shepard was the daughter of Thomas Shepard and Mary Anderson.¹ Anna Shepard married Henry Smith.¹

     Dorothy Shepard was the daughter of Rev. Samuel Shepard and Dorothy Flynt.

     Hannah Shepard married John Downing.¹ Hannah Shepard was born on 2 January 1675/76 in Rowley, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Jeremiah Shepard and Mary Wainwright.¹

     Henry Shepard was the son of Rev. Samuel Shepard and Dorothy Flynt.

     Rev. Jeremiah Shepard was born on 11 August 1648 in Cambridge.¹ He was the son of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Margaret Boradaile.¹ Rev. Jeremiah Shepard graduated in 1669 from Harvard.² He married Mary Wainwright.³ Rev. Jeremiah Shepard was ordained on 6 October 1680.¹ He died on 2 June 1720 in Lynn at the age of 71.¹

     John Shepard was born before 1605.¹ He was the son of William Shepard and (unknown) Bland.¹

     John Shepard was born on 2 April 1646 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.^1,2 He was the son of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Joanna Hooker.¹ John Shepard died in 1646 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.¹

     John Shepard was born on 9 March 1643/44.¹ He was the son of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Joanna Hooker.¹ John Shepard died on 14 July 1644.¹

     Rev. Samuel Shepard was born on 18 October 1641 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, (1639 according to DNB.)^2,3 He was the son of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Joanna Hooker.^1,2 Rev. Samuel Shepard graduated in 1658 from Harvard.² He was ordained on 15 November 1665 at Rowley.⁴ He married Dorothy Flint on 30 April 1666 in Rowley the service was conducted by Daniel Gookin.^5,6 He inherited Tyng's Mt. Wollaston Farm that later descended to Col. John Quincy and Pres. John Quincy Adams. Thomas Shepard's land is mentioned in Braintree town records in 1673 when the road to Hough's Neck was laid out.⁷
Rev. Samuel Shepard died on 7 April 1668 in Rowley, Massachusetts, at the age of 26⁴ and is buried on 9 April 1668.⁶

     Stephen W. Shepard was born circa 1862. He was the son of Joseph Shepard. Stephen W. Shepard married Alice Newton, daughter of Edward Strong Newton and Josephine Sewall, on 24 December 1888 in Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.¹

     Thomas Shepard was born on 3 July 1658 in Charlestown.^2,3 He was the son of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Anna (or Hannah) Tyng.¹ Thomas Shepard graduated in 1676 from Harvard.⁴ He married Mary Anderson, daughter of John Anderson and Jane (Unknown), on 27 July 1682.^1,5 Thomas Shepard died on 8 June 1685 at the age of 26.³

     Thomas Shepard was born in 1633.¹ He was the son of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Margaret Boradaile.¹ Thomas Shepard died in December 1634 in Yarmouth, Norfolk.¹
