Dec. 6, 1867, a daughter of Joseph A. and Rachel Hathorn Thomson. She attended Bath schools and passed two years at Miss Morgan's school in Portsmouth, N.H. Many times she accompanied her father, Capt. Joseph A. Thomson and her mother, on sea voyages aboard Capt. Thomson's vessels, including a number of trips around Cape Horn and experienced several hazardous voyages.
Jan. 1, 1890, in Bath, she married Mr. Sewall and has made her home here since that time Surviving are three sons, Don and Joseph of Boothbay Harbor and Edward Sewall of Bath; four grandchildren, Patricia Pillsbury of Hanson, Mass., Edward Sewall Jr., of South Weymouth, Mass., Mark Warren Sewall of Winchester, Mass., and Joseph Thomson Sewall Jr. serving in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternon at two from the home on Washington street with Rev. Canon Charles M. Tubbs officiating and burial will be in the family lot at Oak Grove. Friends are asked to omit flowers. Bath Independent, May 15, 1952.1
