Edward Winslow1

Edward Winslow was born on 7 June 1714 in Marshfield, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Isaac Winslow and Sarah Wensley.1 Edward Winslow graduated in 1736 from Harvard.2 He resided at Plymouth, and was Clerk of the Courts, Register of Probate, and Collector of the Port. He left the country with his family at the evacuation of Boston, in 1776, and went to Halifax, Nova Scotia. His estates in Massachusetts were confiscated.2 He died on 8 June 1784 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the age of 70.3

Gilbert Winslow was born on 29 October 1600 in Droitwich, Worcestershire, (27 October in Winslow.1,2) He was the son of Edward Winslow and Magdalen Oliver.1 Gilbert Winslow came to Plymouth in 1620 on the Mayflower. In the 1623 Plymouth division of lands "Gilbard Winslow" received one acre as a passenger on the Mayflower. His name does not appear in the 1627 Plymouth division of cattle.3 He died before 1650 in England.3
